Data warehouse updates

On February 25, 2010, the six Oregon regional data warehouse providers came together to give presentations on  their histories, current developments and where they are headed in the long and short term. The following pages detail key areas for each of the six (6) regional data warehouses and ODE's data warehouse.

Currently 158 school districts, comprising 491,575 students, are transferring data to one of the six regional data warehouses. The data from each regional data warehouse are in turn transferring nightly to the Oregon Department of Education's data warehouse.  Ultimately these transfer processes will allow for the electronic exchange of student transcripts, and improvements to current district reporting processes.

With over 75% of Oregon school districts participating, we are well on our way to having a comprehensive state system. We are eagerly planning next steps so that all districts will be involved.
