Who do I contact if I have questions?
Don Wolff at Willamette ESD will be administering the grants on behalf of ODE. Questions should be sent to Don via email @
don.wolff@wesd.org, please include "LastMile Grants" in the subject line.
Can the money from the grants be used to make connections that will provide an excess of 10Mbps of bandwidth?
Yes. 10Mbps is the minimum amount of bandwidth that the grants dollars can be used to obtain. But it is acceptable and even encouraged to build out circuits that exceed that minimum amount.
Does the LastMile proposal have to be eRate eligible?
No. It is encouraged that eRate be leveraged so as to reduce the amount of dollars requested from the grant pool and to further spread the impact of the limited dollars. However, eRate eligibility is not a requirement or is it a scoring factor in the grants.
