SISNet data warehouse

The SISNet (Portland Public Schools, Clackamas ESD and Multnomah ESD) data warehouse currently houses information for sixteen (16) school districts which totals 138,368 students. Development is being shared between Portland Public SD, MESD and CESD. This is an eSIS only warehouse.

The current dashboards are primarily designed for administrators.

1 - CESD/MESD Administrator Dashboard
2 - PPS Administrator Dashboard
3 - Forecast Dashboard - same format as Administrator Dashboard, but with information on incoming students
4 - Directors Dashboard (in Dev) - provides District-level summary views of school metrics

A Teacher Dashboard is in the design phase.

All of the eSIS information required for reporting on student achievement is included in the nightly ETLs. Portland is also transferring certain HR data from PeopleSoft.

Training is provided by ESD and District technical staff at scheduled workshops.

The KIDS data confidence work is currently underway, but there is a significant amount of validation remaining.

OSAT assessments are being loaded to the data warehouse as they become available from ODE. We are planning to load local and formative assessments as the requirements are defined.

Any data errors are reported to the SISNET team, and then prioritized for correction.

Staff is added as needed for special project efforts, such as the KIDS Data Confidence project.

The warehouse is managed by the SISNET team, which is governed by the IT Directors at CESD, MESD and Portland. The change and development processes are still being developed. Basically, each entity can submit requests for fixes or enhancements to be prioritized and assigned for implementation.
