WESD data warehouse

The WESD data warehouse currently houses information for one hundred (100) school districts which totals 158,294 students. Development is being done in-house. This warehouse provides services to multiple student information systems.

All 21 internal districts have received training in admin dashboards and have logged into the system at least once this year.

49 external districts have accessed the admin dashboards at least once (excludes ESD training partners).

All 21 districts have received training in data validation. At least 16 of the 21 have completed the validation process. Remaining districts are in process or changing to new SIS. ESD partners work with districts within their region to complete the validation process.

Online help documents and videos are available to assist districts in validation. On-site assistance is provided to districts during initial validation. Districts are reminded to spot-check data after year-end rollover or when a new metric is introduced.

Custom developed issue tracking system allows users to email errors to programmers. We are implementing a reporting hierarchy that allows issue handlers to advance issues up the line. Teacher Dashboard application sends automated issue reports to programmers.

Regional Governance Committee meets quarterly, and comprises representatives from each of our 21 internal districts and 2-4 representatives from each of our 4 external ESD partners. Governance Committee determines priorities of new developments and changes in existing metrics.
